Mike’s interest in Sicily has roots in
his own ancestral links there and an appreciation of the island’s
literary history from classical times to the likes of Giovanni
Verga, Salvatore Quasimodo and Leonardo Sciascia.
Sonnets of the Claw is a collection
written between 1994 and 1997. It uses a variation on the
traditional form of the sonnet to address time-honoured themes
such as existence, beauty, travel and love.
Useless Fires is a collection of poems
written from 2005-2008. |
